It is never advisable to join a college/university that is new and/or private. The GMCTHRC is both. Established in 2010, GMCTHRC is a private college affiliated to Tribhuvan University. The MBBS program is 5.5 years in duration and language of instruction is English.

The problem areas of the most new colleges/universities are infrastructure & quality of education. GMCTHRC is no exception. The infrastructure is mediocre, so is the quality of education.

Apart from the department of medicine, GMCHRTC has a college of Dental Surgery too. The various modules include B-MLT, B SC Nursing, B. Pharmacy, etc. GMCTHRC has a teaching hospital that has a heavy patient inflow. You may expect a decent dose of clinical exposure here.
